Project Aliyah

As 2009 comes to a close, we know many worthy organizations are asking for your support. Many of these groups serve people in need and face serious budget shortfalls.

As you make your year-end tax-deductible contributions, please consider Project Aliyah. Thanks to early contributors who donated generously at all levels of giving, the first phase of our Project Aliyah accessibility campaign has been successfully completed.

The long-overdue and desperately needed restroom renovations are finished, and include accessible restrooms and updated water and sewer pipes.

These improvements to our synagogue are part of a broader vision to ensure that our congregation is best able to serve the needs of our members and to extend our worship and educational programs to all those who wish to participate.

While the faltering economy is taking its toll on so many around us, Project Aliyah represents a continuing commitment to our congregation and to the wider community around us by ensuring an accessible and safe synagogue for generations to come.

To quote Eliana Jacobowitz, our Education Director, from her d'var at the Project Aliyah kick-off celebration, "Let our sanctuary be like Abraham's tent open to all directions. Let our community be like Abraham — opening doors to all."

Your year-end contribution, in any amount, will help carry Project Aliyah to its next phase. Thank you in advance for what you can give at this time.
