Caring Committee

The purpose of the Caring Committee is to formalize the process of both requesting and providing help for members of our community.

We know that many of you have stepped up and given time and help to those in need over the years. We are seeking to build on and to strengthen this sense of a caring community.  In these challenging times we need to support each other more than ever.

The Caring Committee is co-chaired by Rachel Schwarz and Anita Ballesteros, who are joined by Dennis Fischman, Susan Sklan, Lynne Eisenberg, Aaron Helsinger, and Sara Secunda. We can be reached at caring@templebnaibrith.org.

We are looking for input and ideas from the TBB community as to the types of help and need we will hopefully be able to provide.  Toward this end, we are creating a database of volunteers willing to help when possible.

No task will be too small, a visit to someone who is homebound, a drive to a doctor's appointment, a ride home from a medical procedure, preparing a meal, a phone call, just to give a few examples.  Volunteers will determine how much and how often they can help.

We believe that the Caring Committee will provide a great resource for all and strengthen our sense of community once fully launched.  Our hope is that with a more formalized approach to caring for our community/for each other, it will become easier to seek help and to provide assistance.
