7:00 PM - 8:30 PMIn-person at Temple B'nai BrithHow do we remember the Holocaust in a world where survivors are fewer and memory risks fading?
Blending visual storytelling with testimony, history, and artistic expression, graphic novels offer a powerful and unique way to engage with this history.
This Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), join Rabbi Eliana Jacobowitz for an exploration of graphic novels of the Holocaust. We'll discuss how these works navigate trauma, testimony, and representation and consider the impact of visual storytelling in Holocaust education and remembrance.
If you have a favorite graphic novel about the Holocaust, consider bringing it with you. We will share recommendations towards the end of the class.
